hmm - riding season must be upon us - if you look way back - about a year ago there was discussion about adding a tach to the Savage. The postings at that time indicated that our beloved singles present some interesting challenges vis-a-vis adding a tach - something technical about that single jug and the electrics of our ignition systems. Someone if I remember correctly ordered a unit from Highway Hawk only to discover that it would not work with a single cylinder.
The Savage engine is not a sreaming banshee - I too thought that a tach was be critical when I got my Savage last year but I quickly learned to relax and enjoy and never mind the crotch rocket riding style of constantly looking for the power edge and torque peaks and needing a tach -
Relax! - You may just find that you can enjoy the fundamental pleasure of riding with your Savage without a tach
